In June 2019, my mum and dad received a letter from the Arthur Terry Learning Partnership (ATLP) to say that I had been nominated by my school (William MacGregor) for an award.  As such we were invited for Afternoon Tea at Sutton Coldfield’s prestigious New Hall Hotel.  The event was attended by more than 200 students, parents, teachers and governors to “celebrate the outstanding achievements of children and young people” from 13 schools.

I was very honored to be one of just 6 children from my school at the awards and I was given an award for “Creativity” with the emphasis being on my photography and YouTube videos.

At the awards we were all given a booklet that detailed each child and what they had won an award for.  Under my name in the book it said:

Arthur Terry Learning Partnership Award, July 2 2019

The Award For Creativity

Harvey Payne - William MacGregor

Harvey’s interest for photography started when he was 2.  Since then he has photographed Tamworth Castle, Tamworth Church, the Moat House and other popular landmarks.  He has been in the Tamworth Herald several times to recognise his skills as a photographer.  Harvey recently started a YouTube channel which he uses to inform others about how to take fantastic photographs.  He wants to share his experiences and passion with others.

I would like to thank my school for nominating me and also the ATLP for the award,  It was a lovely day and I could not believe I got an award for something I really enjoy doing.
